Hans currently drives his pigeons roughly 600 air miles away and then lets them use their specialty honing devices to find their way home. There are thousands of pigeon flyers, but our location is really ideal for pigeon flying,” Hans said. “Pigeon racing is popular in every country. “We moved up to the Divide in 1995 and that’s when I really got into the sport of pigeon racing,” said Hans, who along with his wife, Patti, has three grown children (Matt, Kristin and Josh).
